In just a few weeks, I'll be a part of the first annual Chainbreaker Ride and fundraising charity event. Organised by the Masonic Cancer Center and the U of M, Chainbreaker is a 3 day, 180 mile bicycle ride that goes from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield campus in Eagan through Rosemount, Farmington, Northfield, and ends in Excelsior, MN.
I'll be riding on Saturday, August 12th for 25 miles of the 180 mile course. So far, I'm about halfway towards my fundraising goal. Please help me out by donating here: http://chainbreakerride.org/riders/linnell and don't worry, 100% of all your donations go directly towards the Masonic Cancer Center and their Comprehensive Cancer Center and it's groundbreaking research.
Some of you may not be familiar with the Masonic Cancer Center and what they do there, and that's great. I honestly hope it stays that way for all of you. Unfortunately though, in one way or another, cancer touches many of our families - and my family was no different. We never know what the Cancer journey has in store for us until someone we love is given some of the three worst words in the english language "You have cancer". However, because of the constant research at cancer centers, my family has been able to share many more cherished moments, hugs, memories, and accomplishments. We are one of the lucky families and we now have the possibility of a long and cancer-free journey together. I can't thank the doctors and staff at the Masonic Cancer Center enough and I am forever grateful that they were there alongside us during our journey.
Now, I get to ride for them and help make sure that other families get to benefit from continued funding and research that will help the Masonic Cancer Center learn how to treat and beat cancer.
